Charles Dudley Staton of Amissville, VA died on October 1st, 2017 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. He was born on March 29th, 1938 in Amherst, VA to the late Ernest S. and Syra T. Staton. Charles was a born again child of God and his sins were forgiven because Jesus died on the cross for his sins and the sins of the World. 2 as is written in Corinthians 5:8 ‘… to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord’. He worked for Sheet Metal Union Local 100 as a superintendent for 35 years. He was a loving husband to his wife Carol Staton for 62 years and a loving father to his daughters, Shelby M. Kidwell and Tammy Jo Bragg of Amissville, VA. He is also survived by his siblings, Ernest S. Staton of Amissville, Orphie L. Parr of Amherst, and Liger W. Staton of Culpeper, VA and his grandchildren, Wayne Boyd Staton, Sue Ann Toombs, Stefan Bragg, Andrea Bragg and Roger Earl Blake Kidwell III, and his great grandchildren, Camia Alexandra Shepard and Coby Lee Toombs. A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Friday, October 13th, 2017 at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, VA.
