John Harold Hitt, Jr. of Boston, Virginia, age 70, went to be with the Lord on January 7, 2018 at Inova Fairfax Hospital, Falls Church. He was a owner and contractor in the siding and gutter business for 35 years. He also was the deacon for several years at Sumerduck Baptist Church, Sumerduck, Va. and then God called him to become the Pastor. He dedicated his life to serving the Lord and had an amazing love not only for his family and Church family, but for people everywhere. He preached God’s word and lived his life according to what he preached and believed.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Marie Hitt of Boston, VA; two daughters, Annette Hope Hitt and boyfriend Billy Frazier of Culpeper, VA and Rebecca L. Stone of Boston, VA; one grandson and best friend, Cole Stone; a brother, Lawrence Hitt and wife, Charlene of Opal, VA, a brother, Charles Hitt and wife, Wanda of Brightwood, VA, a sister, Brenda Hitt and Eric, of Bealeton, VA, a sister, Joyce Young and her partner, Allen of Bealeton, VA, Glenda Clatterbuck and her husband, Ashby of Madison, VA and Susan Clatterbuck and her husband, Allen of Orange, VA; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents John Harold Hitt, Sr. and Myrtle Wood Hitt; siblings, Eunice Wright, Donald Hitt, Rodney Hitt, Lewis Hitt and Lois Rodriquez.
There will be a visitation on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 6-8pm at Moser Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00am at Sumerduck Baptist Church, Sumerduck, Virginia.
