Lawrence was born October 22, 1947, in Sterling, Virginia to the late Lawrence Hogan and Juanita Bushrod. He departed this life peacefully at Capital Caring Hospice, on May 18, 2019.
On January 1, 1966, he married Louise Allen. To this union were 3 children, Karen, Timothy and Cheryl. On June 22, 1981, he married Lucy Lewis. To this union were 2 children, Tammy and Yvonne.
He was known as Lee or Levi by family during his early years, but by “Bushrod” in his community in his latter years. He was educated in Loudoun County Schools and attended Douglas High School. He played football at Douglas High, but his sports love was baseball. He starred in the Black Baseball League at the age of 17.
Lee was employed at Dulles Airport at an early age as well as various construction jobs over the years. However, his passion during his later years and into his retirement was with training his horses. He was also an avid Redskins fan.
Lee leaves to cherish his memories, five daughters, Karen Bushrod, Cheryl Bushrod of Herndon, VA, Tammy Jackson (Louis), Yvonne Terrell (Zach) of Warrenton, VA, Harriet Warner of Stafford, VA; one son, Timothy Bushrod (Elizabeth); one brother, Charles Bushrod (Arlene) of Aldie, VA; one sister, Adrian Garrett of Charlestown, WV
He also leaves to mourn 13 grandchildren; Gary Bushrod, Travis Bushrod, Marcus Bushrod, Lasheka Bushrod (Lindsey),
Laporche Morris, Ebony Bushrod, Shana Bushrod, Destiny Bushrod, Demitrius Bushrod, Isaiah Bushrod, Daniel Carter, DeAndre Jackson, DaRonn Jackson; 20 great-grandchildren; 3 aunts; Elizabeth Jackson, Dorothy Carpenter, Calethia Bushrod.
He also leaves to mourn special friends, Fenny Caison, Carl & Sarah Yates; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by both spouses, Louise Allen and Lucy Lewis; two sisters, Gladys Hogan and Jessie Ann Williams.
