M. Jean Fischer of Warrenton, VA went home to be with our Lord at her home surrounded by family on February 7, 2018 after a courageous fight with cancer. She was born in Warrenton, VA on May 18, 1947.
Jean was a member of Providence Bible Church, Culpeper, VA , and was a loving full time wife and mother most of her adult life. She had worked as a teacher in the Extended Day Program at Highland School. She also was a manager at Montgomery Ward and in her early years was an au pair in Denmark. She was preceded in death by her father, Alford "A.D." Kidd. She is survived by her husband, Mark A. Fischer, her mother, Anna Virginia Kidd of Nokesville, and her children, Clarissa Mae Fleming and her husband Rusty of Jeffersonton, Stuart Michael Fischer of Culpeper, VA and his love Kristen Fort and Heather Elaine Waye and her husband Jeff of Fairfax. Also surviving are her siblings, Robert Kidd of Nokesville, Anne Walker of Culpeper, Leah Carter of Manassas, Dean Kidd of Catlett and Ray Kidd of Boston, and her grandchildren, Jocelyn, William, Patrick and James Fleming of Jeffersonton, VA.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 6-8pm at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, VA where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 10am. Interment will be in Bright View Cemetery, with a reception to follow at Jeffersonton Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Jean's name to Providence Bible Church 17211 Greens Corner Road, Culpeper, VA 22701 for their Ladies Bible Studies and Benevolence Funds.
