Rosalind Poland Turner, 78, of Midland, died suddenly on April 19, 2017 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital.
Born in Merrifield, VA on June 4, 1938, a daughter of the late Russell and Vivian Poland, she was the widow of H. Lee Turner. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her son Michael Harding, her brother Thomas Duane Poland, and a granddaughter Heather Davis.
She is survived by her son Ron Harding and his wife Julie; her daughter June Davis and her husband D.L.; her sister, Joan Miller; her brothers Frank Poland and his wife Clara; Dwight Poland and his wife Brenda. Mrs. Turner also had five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Mrs. Turner had been a member in the local Order of the Eastern Star Chapter. She had a passion for gardening, loved to cook, and was frequently the host for her large extended family. She grew up and lived most of her life in Fauquier County, and enjoyed many of the local equestrian events in and around Warrenton.
There will be a memorial service on Monday, April 24 at 10 AM at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave, Warrenton, VA. Interment will be private.
