Charles L. Bush, 78 of Warrenton, VA died on November 17, 2009 at Oak Springs of Warrenton. Captain Bush was born in Olivet, Illinois on 22 January 1931. He enlisted in the Navy as a seaman Recruit in September 1948 and entered the Naval Aviation Cadet(NAVCAD)Program in July 1949. He was designated a Naval Aviator and commissioned as an Ensign. He served in Fighter Squadron 113 during the Korean conflict NAVCAD Procurement Officer, Assistant Navigator on the USS Hornet (CVA-12), Safety Officer/Naval War College and the Naval Postgraduate School at Monterey, CA. He served as Executive and Commanding Officer of Attack Squadron 23 during the North Vietnam conflict. He retired from the Navy after serving in the Washington, DC area in 1974. He is survived by his wife, Clarijane; three children: Charles A. Bush of Alexandria, VA; Caryn Riggs of Charlotte, NC and Christopher Bush of Broad Run, VA and six grandchildren. Funeral Services with Full Military Honors will be held at 9am Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Fort Meyer Chapel, Arlington, VA. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
