Betty Lou Yowell, 74, of Bealeton, died on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at her home.
She was born in Craigsville on February 13, 1935, a daughter of Calvin Eugene Horn and Nora Marilyn Beverly Horn.
Mrs. Yowell was retired from the Q-stop in Bealeton and she had been a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Front Royal and the former Sumerduck Village Ruritan Club where she was a Tom Downey Award holder.
She is survived by four children; Robert Dale Yowell of Bealeton, Donna Lynn Fink of Keezeletown, David E. Yowell of Bealeton and Theresa Dawn Kincaid of Rixeyville.
She also leaves a sister, Wanda Faye Lawson of Front Royal, VA and a brother, Winfred Horn of St. Louis, MO. Additionally, she is survived by eight grandchildren, four
great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and her former husband, Robert Folk Yowell.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 15, 2010 from 7-9 PM at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave, Warrenton. Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 16 at 10 AM at Community Christian Church, 12698 Old Shipps Store Road, Bealeton VA. Interment Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton.
