Chuck passed away peacefully at Fauquier hospital with his wife, Jill and daughter, Kira by his side. He is survived also by his brother Jack Lander, with whom Chuck spent many of his years as a young man; by his sisters, Jan Novak and Cindy Torango who first revealed to Chuck the mysterious nature of women; and his parents Colonel and Mrs. Jack Lander, who built the foundation on which Chuck’s amazing life was led.
Chuck held a B.A. in biology and a B.S. in chemistry with a minor in physics from Sonoma State University in California. He served his country proudly for 32 years with Lockheed Martin.
Chuck was a loving husband and devoted father. We honor his life, for none was lived with more strength of character, heart, and mind. Services were held at Moser Funeral Home on Thursday, January 21 with interment at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association 1701 Beauregard Street #100 Alexandria, VA 22311, 1-800-DIABETES or http://donations.diabetes.org.
