Joseph James ''Jay'' Abboud, 32, of Linden passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2010 as a result of a vehicular accident. Jay was a devoted husband and son, is survived by his wife, Nicole, and their five, four-legged children; parents, Joe and Cindy Hayes; sister Christina, brother Jason, and niece Chanel; mother and father-in-law Bev and Jim Gaunt; brother-in-laws Gary and Ryan; sister-in-law Jan. Jay was co-owner of the Warrenton Pet Shop and most recently an assistant manager of the Warrenton Petco. Jay was fun-loving with a great sense of humor, exceptionally quick-witted, a man of many talents and well read. Jay was a wonderful husband, son, son-in-law and a good friend to so many people, that anyone could count on, laugh with and laugh at (more than we can count). Everyone's memories with Jay will last a lifetime. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday, January 27 at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave, Warrenton, Va, where services will be held at 11am Thursday, January 28 with Rev. Phillip M. Cozzi officiating with reception to follow at St. Johns Mercy Hall, 271 Winchester St, Warrenton, Va.
