Mary A. Kempton of Warrenton, VA died on April 13, 2010 at Fauquier Hospital.
She was born on January 27, 1925 in Raleigh, NC to the late William H. and Cora L. Hicks. Mary was a member of Warrenton Baptist Church. Her husband Charles E. Kempton preceded her in death. Mary is survived by her children, Linda Freeman of Warrenton, VA, Donna Bateman and her husband Ron of Marshall, VA and Ronald Freeman of Austin, TX. Also surviving are her stepsons, Charles Kempton, Jr. and his wife Coralea of Atlanta, GA, Joseph Robert Kempton and his wife Mimi of Sarasota, FL, a brother, Henry Hicks of Charlotte, NC, ten grandchildren, and thirteen great grand children. The family will receive friends beginning at 11am on Friday, April 16, 2010 at Moser Funeral Home where services will follow at 12 noon. Interment will be in Bright View Cemetery, Warrenton, VA.
