Ruth Virginia Tafrawe, 79, of Reston, died on Friday, April 16, 2010 at Reston Hospital Center. She was born in Staunton on November 9, 1930, a daughter of Massie and Nettie Coffey. A longtime resident of Warrenton, she moved to Verona in 1983 and later to Reston. She was the widow of Albert D. Tafrawe. She is survived by six children; Gary D. Tafrawe and wife Paula of Warrenton, Linda M. Moody and husband Kenny of The Plains, Allan D. Tafrawe and wife Sherry of Sterling, Neal E. Tafrawe and wife Sylvia of Waynesboro, Barry D. Tafraoui of Front Royal, and Freda L. Hamilton and husband David of Verona. Additional survivors include ten grandchildren, Amina Tafrawe, Kimberly Watlington, Brian Tafrawe, Jimmy Moody, Steven Moody, Billy, Matt and Kayla Hamilton, Zakaria Tafraoui, Tony Mines and four great-grandchildren, Alexis and Haley Tafrawe, Noah Watlington and Leanne Mines. A sister, Mary Hoover and two brothers, Frank L. and Leon Coffey, preceded her in death. The family will receive friends from 6-9 PM on Monday, April 19 at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave. Warrenton where services will be held on Tuesday April 20, 2010 at 2 PM with a time of visitation one hour prior to the service.
