John S. Karhoff
John Stephen Karhoff, 66, of Midland, died on Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Fauquier Hospital. He was born in Washington, D.C on August 11, 1943, a son of Clarence and Thelma Karhoff. Mr. Karhoff retired after 41 years as a cartographer. He enjoyed playing tennis and collecting model trains and cars. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Father Veger Council #5561. A Corvette enthusiast, he belonged to the Culpeper Corvette Club. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 43 years, Joanna Rose Karhoff and a loving father to four children; Thomas Stephen Karhoff of Manassas, Christina Marie Kessler of Eldersburg, MD, Jennifer Renée Karhoff of Front Royal, and Christopher Joseph Karhoff of Amissville. He also leaves his eight dear grandchildren; Matthew, Joshua and Ashley Karhoff, Andrew and Brianna Kessler, Jacob Grupe, Olivia and Isabel Karhoff. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 10 at Moser Funeral Home, 233 Broadview Ave, Warrenton from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM with a rosary at 8:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 10 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 271 Winchester St. Warrenton, VA Interment St. Peter’s Catholic Church Cemetery, Washington, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus Father Veger Council for the Deacon Bernie Ragan Pavilion, P.O. Box 3171, Warrenton, VA 20188.
