Avory C. Cook, 83, of Warrenton, VA died on June 12, 2010 at the home of his daughter, Patricia Cook in Nashville, TN. Mr. Cook was born on March 30, 1927 in Cooleemee, NC the son of Rev. Sanford F. Cook and Dorsie Mae Couch Cook. He served in the US Navy and had worked for C&P Telephone for 38 years.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lois V. Cook and children, Patricia Cook, Nashville, TN, Alice Cook, Charlotte, NC, Roney Cook, Warrenton, VA and Michael Cook, Stephens City, VA. Also surviving are grandchildren Christin Harvey, Nicholas Cook, Jessica Cook, Stephen Cook and great grandchild Alexis Harvey.
The family will receive friends at Moser Funeral Home from 7-9PM on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 where services will held at 2pm on Thursday, June 17, 2010. Rev. Dick Guizar will officiate and Interment will be in Bright View Cemetery, Warrenton, VA.
