Franklin Edward “ED” Weimer Jr., 55, of Warrensburg, MO died on June 17, 2010 at his residence. Ed was born in Washington, DC on November 19, 1954 the son of Franklin Weimer Sr and Marjorie Lee Salb Weimer.
He was raised in Maryland, having graduated from DuVal High School in Lanham. He was an owner/operator in the moving industry for many years. For the past 24 years Ed was associated with Carlyle Van Lines in Warrensburg, where he was a dispatcher at the time of his passing. Ed was also owner of ESP Nurseries in Eustis, Florida. He was an avid league pool player, who also loved country music and was an excellent country western dancer.
Survivors include Ed’s father, Franklin of Merritt Island, FL; two sisters; Laurrie Lee Buckley and husband, Robert of Melbourne, FL and Dorrine Marie Rogers and husband Matt of Merritt Island, FL; a brother, Mitchell Alan Weimer SR and wife Shirley of Whangarei, New Zealand and several nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie. He will be greatly missed by numerous special friends, especially the “Three Amigos and a Lady”.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 1-2PM at Midland Church of the Brethren, Midland, VA where services will be held at 2PM. Ed’s brother Mitch will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.
