Cindy Sinclair
Augusta “Cindy” Hotchkiss Sinclair, 95, of Jeffersonton, VA died at home Saturday, June 19, 2010. She was born in The Plains, VA on April 17, 1915 to Charles Strother Hotchkiss and Mary Wine Hotchkiss. Her husband, William Henry Sinclair and her brother, Edgar Allen Lunsford preceded her in death.
Mrs. Sinclair was a resident of The Plains for 75 years before moving to Jeffersonton. She attended The Plains Elementary School and graduated from the Marshall High School. She worked at The Pentagon and retired from The Plains Post Office and was a founding member of The Plains Baptist Church.
She is survived by her three children and their spouses- Dorothy and Thomas Ramey of Warrenton, Nellie and Bobby Rutherford of Rixeyville and William and Donna Sinclair of Jeffersonton; seven grandchildren; Kenneth Rutherford of Ruckersville, Michael Sinclair of Jeffersonton, Sarah Sinclair of Virginia Beach, Emily Sinclair of Jeffersonton, Thomas Ramey of Chester, Deborah Ramey of Manassas and Judy Ramey Spengler of Centreville; seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 10:00AM until funeral service begins at 11:00 AM at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton.
