Edgar N. Pool
Edgar N. Pool, 85, of Warrenton, died on Friday, July 16, 2010 at Fauquier Hospital.
He was born in Texas on August 13, 1924 a son of Jesse and Eva Pool. Mr. Pool served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II in Europe. He worked for the U.S. Government for 33 years, starting on the ground floor of computer technology as a data processor. He had been a Sunday School teacher, Boy Scout Leader and was an avid golfer. Mr. Pool was a member of the Shriners, the Order of the Eastern Star and a Past Worshipful Master and longtime member of the Mt. Carmel Lodge #133 A.F. & A.M.
Mr. Pool is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Bette Chapman Pool and four dear children; Gloria Jean Vitayanuvatti of Warrenton, Margaret Anne Buraker of Culpeper, Roy Arnold Pool of Warrenton and Joyce Marie Wake of Front Royal. He also leaves eight cherished grandchildren; Michael and Tyler Vitayanuvatti, Angela Gardner, Noel and Brian Beck, Christine Shaw, Alex Olinger and Rachel Hensley. He was the beloved great-grandfather of Andrew Gardner, Alyssa Overstreet, Brandon Vitayanuvatti, Chase, Travis, Nolan and Shaun Hensley and Lexi Olinger. Also missing him is his faithful boxer, Ginger.
A grandson, Roy A. Pool, Jr. and brother, John T. Pool preceded him in death.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Moser Funeral Home from 6- 8 PM with a Masonic Service at 8 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 11 am at Moser Funeral Home Chapel. Interment Bright View Cemetery, Warrenton.
