Avery Leroy Stegmaier, 89 of Warrenton, VA died on July 25, 2010 at his home.
He was born March 3, 1921 in Washington, DC a son of the late Raymond Leroy Stegmaier and Lillian Baker Stegmaier. He was preceded in death by his first wife- Doris P. Stegmaier.
Mr. Stegmaier served with honor in the US Navy during World War II in the South Pacific with the Seabeas discharged as a Petty Officer First Class. He was retired after many years service with the C & P Telephone Company. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife- Jane E. Teates-Stegmaier; two sons- Bill Stegmaier of Pennsylvania and John Stegmaier of Vienna, VA; one daughter- Barbara Stegmaier of Myrtle Beach, SC; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM Thursday at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, VA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 30 at 10:00 AM at Bethel United Methodist Church. Interment National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA on Saturday, July 31 at 10:00 AM.
